I was born and raised in Manhattan.  My mother was a musician – a drummer – and my father sculpted.  

 My fascination with art can be traced back to when I studied in Seville, a gorgeous city rich in color and design where the ever-present remnants of Moorish art were intoxicating.  This is the place where my artistic style flourished under the tutelage of renowned Spanish artist Don Miguel Perez Aguilera at the School of Fine Arts in Seville.  This was many years ago when I was very young.  The year was 1975.
